Richards junior Leshon Williams continues to pile up scholarship offers and interest. The running back recently picked up offers from Iowa and Eastern Illinois. He doesn’t plan to commit until after the 2019 season, but he’s up to 15 offers already.
The 5-10, 195-pound athlete posted massive numbers last season: 2,115 yards and 24 touchdowns, for an average of 163 yards per game and 9.7 yards per carry.
Richards opens the 2019 season against Lincoln-Way Central, St. Rita and Hillcrest, so Williams will have ample opportunity to make some headlines and possibly ramp up interest even further during the season.
