Rajon Rondo: ‘We can seem like a team of excuses’

Wednesday night’s loss to the Washington Wizards was a familiar story for the Bulls. They played to a tie for the first three quarters, then were outscored 30-20 in the final period as the offense stagnated.

It’s been a problem all season: the Bulls are dead last in the NBA in field-goal percentage in fourth quarters (37.2 percent, a full 1.6 percent worse than the 29th-place Orlando Magic). They’re 29th in fourth-quarter offensive rating, scoring just 95.8 points per 100 possessions in the fourth quarter. They’re also 29th in fourth-quarter assist ratio, 29th in fourth-quarter point differential and 26th in fourth-quarter pace.
