Old habits die hard, as Bulls have a complete meltdown in Oklahoma City

The first half was a thing of beauty.

“Billy Ball’’ at its finest.

The basketball was moving, the paint was under control, and the Bulls were doing what an up-and-coming team should do to a rebuild like the Thunder: Dominating it.

But long before Bulls coach Billy Donovan was hired and “Billy Ball’’ was a thing for this organization, there was an ugliness from the past few years. Bad habits that this group displayed time and time again since the 2017-18 season.

As Donovan was reminded of in Friday’s 127-125 overtime loss in Oklahoma City, these bad habits aren’t dying very easily.
