After going 4-1 in the group stage of EuroBasket 2017, Chicago Bulls rookie Lauri Markkanen and team Finland qualified for the knockout stage of the tournament.
Markkanen, who became one of the big stars in the entire tournament during group play, averaged 22.6 points per game in the five contests, including shooting 50 percent from 3-point range on 4.4 attempts a game.
Now, it’s crunch time for Markkanen and the Finns. The knockout stage is single-elimination, so if you lose, you’re done. It’s done to the final 16 teams, with the top three clubs earning medals at the conclusion of the tournament.
