ESPN Report: Mike Dunleavy, Bulls ‘Closing In’ on Three-Year Deal

One of the important matters for the Chicago Bulls this offseason was re-signing forward Mike Dunleavy Jr. to an extension.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, that could be close to happening.

Stein tweeted out on Wednesday morning that the Bulls and Dunleavy are “closing in” on a three-year extension worth $15 million.

The news really doesn’t come as much of a shock as the Bulls have been planning to sign Dunleavy and with reports swirling that Cleveland — more specifically LeBron James — was interested in Dunleavy’s services, the Bulls did the right thing by re-signing the 13-year veteran from Duke.
