With the start of the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, just around the corner for the United States men’s basketball team, Chicago Bulls star shooting guard Zach LaVine is getting ready for his first Olympics. But it wasn’t that long ago that it looked like the Bulls first-time All-Star guard LaVine would not be playing in Team USA’s Olympic opener in pool play against France on the morning of July 25.
LaVine was the lone member of Team USA that didn’t make the initial flight to Tokyo this week among those that were playing with this squad during the pre-Olympic exhibition circuit earlier this month.
