The Chicago Bulls added more big headlines to the coaching carousel this week when they hired Billy Donovan (formerly of the Oklahoma City Thunder) to replace Jim Boylen as their next head coach. Donovan was hired by the Bulls back on Sep. 22, a little more than one month after management parted ways with Boylen (originally back on Aug. 14). This was an abrupt coaching hire that came much sooner than originally anticipated.
It sounds like Arturas Karnisovas was ecstatic about the possibility of hiring Donovan after the Thunder surprisingly parted ways with him.
