The Bulls have set their sights on New Orleans Pelicans executive director of basketball administration J.J. (Jimmy) Polk for a role in new lead executive Arturas Karnisovas' front office, according to NBC Sports Chicago Bulls Insider K.C. Johnson.
Johnson reported in later tweets that Polk's intended role with the Bulls is assistant general manager, but there will be multiple new hires with that job title. Polk has worked in the Pelicans organization since 2010, when he started on as director of player contracts and basketball administration.
Polk is renowned for his salary cap expertise and studied law at the University of Illinois.
