The Bulls are looking good lately in their last two wins. Yes it’s against bad and/or absence-heavy opponents, but remember the last game before the deadline saw them losing to an injury-ravaged Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Bulls are obviously a new team now post-deadline. And when fully healthy, Billy Donovan has quickly figured out a 10-man rotation (the injured Garrett Temple being the 10th, Donovan only played 9 last night) that’s a markedly better team. Certainly much more competent than the group that were blown out by these same Atlanta Hawks way back on opening night.
The Hawks are a bit different too, mostly in coaching as Atlanta has gone 13-5 since elevating Nate McMillan to the head chair.
