Bulls take another hit to backcourt as Tre Jones is latest guard out

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – All of a sudden that crowded guard room just might be coming in handy for Billy Donovan.

On the same night that the Bulls coach welcomed back Josh Giddey from a right ankle injury and Coby White (calf strain) was able to make his 2025-26 season debut, Tre Jones was on the shelf with a sore left ankle.

The same Tre Jones that had started in all 11 games, was averaging 13.3 points per game and led the Bulls in steals with 2.1 per game entering Sunday.

“It’s probably going to be a little bit of time,” Donovan said of the Jones injury.
