Bulls survive Cousins’ wrath, avoid late collapse in win at Sacramento

SACRAMENTO — As the Sacramento Kings chipped away at the Bulls’ late lead on Monday night, the hype man at Golden 1 Center vocalized what everybody was thinking.

“If you watched the Super Bowl,” he shouted as “Enter Sandman” blared, “You know that comebacks…can…happen.”

At the time, the Bulls led by 16 points. In the second half, they’d led by as many as 27. That’s two more than the Falcons led the Patriots by on Sunday, but the thought was in everybody’s minds in the arena until the Bulls were able to hold off the Kings and pull out a 112-107 road win without Jimmy Butler.
