Billy Donovan has never been fired.
Not as a coach, not even when he tried his hand as a stock broker on Wall Street.
Sure, he insisted that he may have been let go of a job busing tables back in college, likely in his first two years at Providence before he shot his way into becoming a starter, but the details of that were even sketchy.
He simply sounded more like a guy that didn’t want to brag about never being shown the door.
“Um, I don’t think I have,’’ Donovan said. “Maybe back in college or something if I wasn’t doing a good job busing tables I guess.
