The Bulls Monday drove into the Motor City with some acceleration having won five of seven games. But the Bulls’ engine stalled after taking a 14-point first quarter lead and they ran out of gas and had their tires blown out in the second half and lost to the Detroit Pistons 109-95.
It was a damaging loss for the Bulls’ playoff hopes as they fell into a last spot tie in the East with the Pistons at 31-32. The streaking Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks are just a game and a half behind both for the last playoff spots.
