The Bulls announced their second class for the Ring of Honor on Friday.
The hope is to just have a Ring of Happiness.
That wasn’t exactly the case for the inaugural class two years ago, headlined by six-time champion Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Jordan was a no show, sending in a video to be watched at the dinner, while Pippen was initially expected to come before communication between each side broke down.
Besides those two key figures in the franchise’s history, former coach Phil Jackson was also part of that class, as well as the likes of Artis Gilmore, Johnny “Red” Kerr, Dick Klein, Jerry Krause, Toni Kukoc, Bob Love, Dennis Rodman, Jerry Sloan, Chet Walker, Tex Winter and members of the 1995-96 team, which went 72-10 on its way to holding up the Larry O’Brien that year.
