Derrick Rose Will Play In Bulls' Season-Opener vs. Cavaliers

New Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg confirmed that point guard Derrick Rose will play in start in Tuesday's season-opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

Rose is recovering from a broken orbital bone under his left eye he suffered in the Bulls' first practice of the season on Sept. 29.

He will wear a protective mask in the game.

Rose did appear in one preseason game this season, recording eight points on 4/6 shooting and one assist in 10 minutes on Friday against the Mavs.
