This past week, we saw the Blackhawks play a bad third period against Seattle, get absolutely destroyed by the Sabres, and play very well but still lose to the best team in the NHL. These valleys will occur for a young team in a season, and it has dropped the team to the bottom half of the power rankings.
There were major shifts this week in the power rankings as a couple of teams rose from the depths to the top five.
