The Chicago Blackhawks are 11-9-5 with 27 points, and are vastly improved across the first two months of the 2025-26 season. They're 12th in scoring with 80 goals in 25 games, but a significant portion of that scoring has come during a single portion of the game.
Tab Bamford of Bleacher Nation recently reported "The Blackhawks led the NHL with 25 goals in the third period. The Blackhawks were plus-10 in the third period (15 goals against)."
Of the 80 goals scored this season, 25 came in the third period in Nov. 2025 alone. That's over 31 percent of their goals, and it proves you can't count them out regardless of the deficit.
