ARLINGTON, Va. -- Team Sweden forward Rickard Rakell remains in a Swedish hospital with an unspecified illness, according to coach Rikard Gronborg.
Rakell was a late scratch for Saturday's game against Finland at Scandinavium in Gothenburg, Sweden. He did not travel with the team on Sunday.
"He didn't feel any better this morning, so he went back to the hospital," Gronborg said. "So far we haven't found anything."
If Rakell is unable to rejoin his team, Sweden has until Sept. 16 to add another player to the roster.
"We've got to be in contact with him [Monday] and then we'll see where we're at and hopefully for his own sake we know what it is because right now we don't.
