The American Hockey League announced today that Rockford IceHogs center Tanner Kero has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 25, 2015.
Kero notched three goals and an assist along with a plus-5 rating in three games last week – all Rockford victories over Central Division opponents.
On Wednesday night vs. Iowa, Kero’s three-point night included his second two-goal game of the season, and was highlighted by netting the game-winning tally late in the third period to give the IceHogs a 3-2 victory over the Wild. Kero was scoreless in Friday’s 4-3 shootout win over Chicago, but came back with another goal on Saturday to help Rockford to a 4-2 win at Milwaukee.
