While it seemed the Chicago Blackhawks' offseason was done aside from re-signing a couple more restricted free agents, recent reports suggest they might still be active in the trade market.
A report from The Fourth Period revealed that the Blackhawks have been receiving calls regarding Lukas Reichel and are listening to offers on the former first-round pick.
The 23-year-old forward has not lived up to the expectations placed on him during his time with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) or his first stint in the NHL, where he posted 15 points in 23 games. There was hope that he would become a reliable top-six winger for the next generation of hockey in Chicago, but he has struggled to find that same level of production shown in 2022-23.
