Kapadia: Defensive tackle Tim Jernigan has played well so far this season (1.5 sacks, five tackles for loss) and is in the final year of his rookie deal. Some readers have asked about the possibility of extending Jernigan (25) before he hits free agency. What are your thoughts on that possibility from both sides — team and player?
Banner: I think he's played well. I think it was a very good acquisition because they gave up virtually nothing and got a guy — even if it's just for a year — at a very reasonable price.
