Pierre McGuire mansplains hockey to Olympic gold medalist Kendall Coyne Schofield

NBC Sports television sideline reporter Pierre McGuire ruined a special moment before puck drop of the Lightning-Penguins game Wednesday night in Pittsburgh.

McGuire was joined “Inside the Glass” by Kendall Coyne Schofield, who was a guest analyst after becoming the first woman to compete in the NHL All-Star Skills Competition last Saturday. She took seventh place in the eight-player field in the Fastest Skater event, clocking in a faster time than Coyotes forward Clayton Keller.

Coyne Schofield — a Palos Heights, Illinois native — is a 2016 Patty Kazmaier Award winner as the best female NCAA hockey player, a five-time World Championship gold medalist and 2018 Olympic gold medalist.
