Olli Maatta and Connor Murphy were ruled “unfit to participate” and did not practice with the Blackhawks on Friday at training camp.
The defensemen both participated in Phase 2 voluntary workouts at Fifth Third Arena and the first three days of training camp. Calvin de Haan missed his third practice since leaving the team Tuesday due to a family emergency. It’s unclear when de Haan will return, coach Jeremy Colliton said.
With Maatta and Murphy absent from Friday’s practice, Nick Seeler and prospect Chad Krys joined the main group.
