Nicolas Beaudin scores first AHL goal in Rockford IceHogs’ 5-2 loss to Belleville Senators

Nicolas Beaudin scored his first professional goal in the Rockford IceHogs’ 5-2 loss to the Belleville Senators on Friday at CAA Arena in Belleville, Ontario.

Belleville (15-9-1-0) scored three third-period goals to improve to 7-1 in its past eight games. Jordan Szwarz had two goals, and Rudolfs Balcers, Drake Batherson, and Erik Brannstrom all had two assists. Jean-Christophe Beaudin had a shorthanded goal and an assist, and Filip Gustavsson made 24 saves for his fourth win in his past five starts.

John Quenneville also scored for the IceHogs (14-10-0-1), who are without four of their top players since they’ve been called up to the Blackhawks (forwards Matthew Highmore and Dylan Sikura and defenseman Adam Boqvist and Dennis Gilbert).
