Nick Schmaltz returns to 2nd line as Hawks face Flames

Following a night off after their fourth loss in a row, the Chicago Blackhawks will look to snap that skid when they face the Calgary Flames on the road on Saturday night.

The Flames are rolling of late, with victories in their last three games, including a 6-5 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night. Many of the expected names have been responsible for Calgary’s early success: Johnny Gaudreau (6 goals, 11 assists) are tied for the team lead with Matthew Tkachuk (5 G, 12 A) with 17 points, Sean Monahan (6 G, 10 A) is just behind them with 16, and Elias Lindholm (9 G, 5 A) is also in the top five, meaning that four of the Flames’ top five scorers are 25 or younger.
