Adidas appears to have made a minor change to the Blackhawks’ jerseys/sweaters this offseason by altering the highly unpopular collar.
The collar ends near the shoulders in EA Sports’ “NHL 20” video game open beta, which is available now for free in the Xbox and PlayStation stores. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 13.
Blackhawks players and alumni did not sport the modified collar look during the opening ceremony of the 12th annual fan convention Friday at Hilton Chicago.

Adidas signed a deal with the NHL to become the official manufacturer of the league’s uniforms in April 2015, taking over the role from Reebok, which was the NHL’s outfitter since 2007.
