Jonathan Toews scores first Blackhawks goal in Europe in almost 10 years

Jonathan Toews scored the Blackhawks’ first goal in Europe in almost 10 years Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.

Patrick Kane sent a no-look pass from behind the net to Toews, who went top shelf to beat Eisbären Berlin goaltender Sebastian Dahm with less than a minute remaining in the first period.

Dustin Byfuglien was the last Blackhawks player to score a goal in Europe back on Oct. 3, 2009, in Chicago’s 4-0 regular-season win over the Panthers at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland.
