So far #FreeMcNeill hasn’t trended, but that doesn’t mean Mark McNeill also doesn’t want a fresh start elsewhere.
McNeill won’t publicly say it, but it’s no secret he would prefer to be somewhere else other than with the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL. The 23-year-old McNeill, a Blackhawks’ 2011 first-round pick, has likely hit a dead end with the Blackhawks. He’s played one NHL game in four professional seasons, and it doesn’t appear he’s in line for another recall.
