One former Chicago Blackhawks goalie is getting another crack in the NHL.

Scott Darling has been given a professional tryout contract with the Florida Panthers. After playing three seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks and posting a .923 save percentage, Darling signed a massive contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. However, things ended up not working out with the Hurricanes.

Darling hasn’t played in the NHL since the 2018-19 season when he played eight games for the Hurricanes. Since then, he has continued to play professional hockey, just not in the NHL.
