Former Blackhawks Bruce Cassidy, Joakim Nordstrom fall to Blues in 2019 Stanley Cup Final

Former Blackhawks winger Joakim Nordstrom came one win shy of winning his second Stanley Cup championship after the Bruins’ 4-1 loss to the Blues in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday at TD Garden in Boston.

Nordstrom tallied three goals and five assists in 23 playoff games for the Bruins, who were led head coach Bruce Cassidy, a former Blackhawks defenseman and assistant coach. Nordstrom, who was selected in the third round in the 2010 NHL draft, was a former Rockford IceHogs captain and skated in three playoff games during Chicago’s 2015 Cup run.
