VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Slowly but surely, Derrick Pouliot seems to be finding his way.
Pouliot, traded to the Canucks before the season began, has played in nine straight games for Vancouver and is starting to establish himself as a top-six defenseman in the Pacific Northwest.
“Sometimes a change of scenery is good,” he said. “A fresh change, a new opportunity. It's been good for me so far. Hopefully I can keep it going.”
Pouliot has recorded three assists in those nine games and is a plus-1.
An old friend has been impressed with what the young defenseman has brought to the Canucks' attack.
