Corey Crawford will not re-sign with the Blackhawks and become an unrestricted free agent, general manager Stan Bowman said Thursday.
“I had a conversation with Corey earlier today and it was an emotional talk,” Bowman said. “To be a two-time Stanley Cup champion, I think it speaks volumes. He’s up there with the legends Glenn Hall, Tony Esposito, Corey Crawford.”
The 35-year-old Crawford, who won the Stanley Cup with Chicago in 2013 and 2015, started all nine games and was 4-5 with a 3.31 goals-against average, .
