The Chicago Blackhawks have their starting goaltender back after activating Corey Crawford from injured reserve Friday. In order to make room on the roster, Jean-Francois Berube was reassigned to the AHL.
Crawford has been out since the beginning of December due to injury, but he was active in practice Friday morning before Joel Quenneville revealed he was the expected starter. Now that move appears to be set in stone as Crawford is officially back on the active roster.
Berube, who joined the Hawks in the offseason, played just 44 minutes in relief of Anton Forsberg during his brief stint with the team.
