Corey Crawford, Blackhawks shut out Blues to snap 8-game skid

Corey Crawford shined bright in a 28-save performance for the Blackhawks to snap their eight-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over the Blues on Wednesday night at the United Center.

It’s Crawford’s first shutout since Nov. 4, 2017, and the first win for head coach Jeremy Colliton, who took over after the team fired Joel Quenneville last Tuesday.

After an extremely benign first period, the Blackhawks opened up the second period looking to gain some momentum. With Vladimir Tarasenko serving a minor penalty for hooking, Chicago established a rare power-play rush in the offensive end.
