Chicago Blackhawks announce 2016 grants

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that $2,215,000 in grants has been awarded for the 2015-16 season. Chicago Blackhawks Charities (CBC) granted $1,515,000 to 16 organizations. In addition, through the Chicago Blackhawks Community Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund, $700,000 in grants has been awarded to 12 local nonprofits providing life-changing programs that help low-income children, families and adults move out of poverty toward stabilization and self-sufficiency. These local organizations share the Chicago Blackhawks’ commitment to child and youth education, health and wellness, and homelessness in Chicagoland.

The Chicago Blackhawks Community Assist Fund, established in 2009, is supported with major funding from Chicago Blackhawks Charities, which is matched at 50 cents on the dollar by the Robert R.
