Blackhawks Prospect Report: Reichel, other 2020 draft prospects continue to shine

In the latest check-in on Blackhawks prospects around the hockey world, the 2020 draft class continues to exceed expectations.

Arguably the Blackhawks’ most important prospect outside of the NHL, Lukas Reichel has been a consistent producer for Eisbären Berlin since his promotion to top-line center in mid-January. The 18-year old hasn’t gone without a point in more than one game since the start of February and is currently on his fourth points streak of three games or more, scoring four points (1 G, 3 A) in his last three games.

Reichel’s 21 points (7 G, 14 A) for the season has him tied for 23rd in the league, but it’s important to note the age differences of those around him: Reichel is the only teenager in the top 30 and everyone with more points is 26 or older.
