Blackhawks' Patrick Kane sets career-high for points in a single season

Chicago Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane set a new career-high for points in a single season with his first-period goal against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. Kane, 27, leads the NHL with 89 points and ranks second in goals (38) and assists (51). Kane's goal also ties him with Pit Martin for 11th in franchise history with 243 career goals.

The Blackhawks haven't had a 50-goal scorer or a 100-point season since Jeremy Roenick in 1991-92 and 1992-93.
