The Blackhawks are going to give winger Aleksi Saarela another look in training camp before they have finalize their roster Tuesday.
Chicago re-assigned 17 players to the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL on Sunday after they played in a 8-2 preseason loss to the Bruins the day before in Boston. Saarela was the lone prospect from the game that was not re-assigned. The Blackhawks have until 4 p.m. Tuesday to finalize their NHL roster for the start of the season.
Saarela was acquired from Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman Gustav Forsling and goaltender Anton Forsberg at the NHL draft.
