The Blackhawks added to their pipeline on Thursday, announcing the signing of Swedish forward Jacob Nilsson to a one-year, entry-level contract that runs through the 2018-19 campaign.
This comes a little more than a week after the Blackhawks added four other players to the system on entry-level deals.
Nilsson spent the past three seasons with Mora IK, two of which were under current Rockford IceHogs head coach Jeremy Colliton from 2015-16 to 2016-17.
The 24-year-old center had his best season in 2016-17, when he compiled a career-high 20 goals and 22 assists for 42 points in 46 games.
