Blackhawks' Artem Anisimov out 6-8 weeks after right wrist surgery

Chicago Blackhawks center Artem Anisimov underwent right wrist surgery Tuesday, the team announced. The procedure was performed at Northwestern Memorial Hospital by Blackhawks Head Team Physician Dr. Michael Terry.

"Artem Anisimov underwent surgery today to repair an injury on his right wrist. The surgery went well. We anticipate his return to full hockey activities in approximately six to eight weeks," Terry said in a statement.

Anisimov, 27, scored a career-high 20 goals and 42 points in his first season with Chicago after he was acquired in an offseason trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
