Blackhawks acquire MacIntyre from Carolina

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have acquired goaltender Drew MacIntyre from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman Dennis Robertson. MacIntyre will report to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

MacIntyre, 32, has posted an 11-13-1 record, 3.09 goals-against average and .890 save percentage in 28 games with the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers this season. The Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, native has collected a 223-156-6 mark and 16 shutouts in 432 career AHL games across 12 seasons with Grand Rapids (2004-06), Manitoba (2006-08), Milwaukee (2008-09), Chicago (2009-11), Hamilton (2010-11), Rochester (2011-12), Toronto (2012-14) and Charlotte (2014-16).
