Chicago won't have a first-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, but history shows they've done well in the second-round.
The Chicago Blackhawks will be without a first-round pick for the first time since 1996 when the league holds the 2015 NHL Draft this weekend in Sunrise, Fla.
The Blackhawks sent their first-round pick to the Arizona Coyotes for Antoine Vermette and their second-round pick to the Philadelphia Flyers for Kimmo Timonen. Chicago did receive a second-round compensation pick, 54th overall, for Kevin Hayes signing with the New York Rangers.
