Zach Miller ready to lead regardless of Martellus Bennett outcome

On the heels of signing a brand-new, two-year contract, Zach Miller expressed confidence that he can emerge as the Chicago Bears' No. 1 tight end in 2016, if the club, as expected, moves on from Martellus Bennett.

“I feel like, if you look at my career and my history as an athlete and as a quarterback, I’m very comfortable being a leader,” Miller said on a conference call. “It’s one of the natural things that I’ve felt. I’ve done well throughout my college career. I didn’t have the opportunity to really step in and be a leader yet throughout my professional career but it’s growing.
