With Dolphins in town, Bears excited to 'beat up on somebody else'

The Dolphins practiced on the backfields of Halas Hall on Thursday.

Friday, they’ll join up with the Bears for a joint practice.

“What do I like about joint practices is having the opportunity to compete against somebody else,” Bears defensive tackle Grady Jarrett said Thursday. “As you can see, when we get a real chippy practice like we had [Tuesday], we can be tired of seeing each other for a little while. So you get to beat up on somebody else and just see where you stand.”

Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen is curious to see how his team fares against Mike McDaniel’s creative offense, particularly before the snap.
