Wide receiver tale of the tape: Alshon Jeffery vs. Demaryius Thomas

Thomas is firmly in the upper echelon of NFL wide receivers after three consecutive seasons with 1,400 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns, tied for second place all-time behind only Marvin Harrison.

Over that identical span (2012-14), Jeffery became just the fourth Bears’ player to register 1,000 receiving yards in consecutive seasons. He also set the club record with 249 yards receiving in a game versus Minnesota in 2013.

Both players have experienced highs and lows in 2015. Jeffery missed a month before reeling off three straight 100-yard receiving games. Thomas is on pace for another 100-catch year, but he has found the end zone only one time in nine games.
