Week 1 stands to yield opportunity for Bears rookie to become a fantasy factor

While a particular issue for the Chicago Bears’ offense in Week 1 (and a particular player) is getting almost all the attention, a core tenet of Ben Johnson’s successful offenses in Detroit was absent.

Leaving out quarterback Caleb Williams’ team-high 58 rushing yards, the Bears had 61 yards on 20 carries in the season opener. The refurbished interior of the offensive line did not help, as guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson registered the two lowest Pro Football Focus run blocking grades on the team, but take away a 13-yard run and D’Andre Swift had 40 yards on his other 16 carries.
