VIDEO: Ben Johnson tells Bears 'it takes a village' to beat Steelers

Bears coach Ben Johnson told his locker room Sunday that it took more than just the team’s stars to pull out Sunday’s 31-28 win against the Steelers.

“It takes a village,” he said. “I’m talking about players, I’m talking about coaches, I’m talking about training staff, I’m talking everyone in this building.”

The Bears, he said, had their depth tested. They played without all three starting linebackers. That’s why the first of the two game balls Johnson handed out Sunday went to linebacker D’Marco Jackson, who made his first career start and called plays in the huddle.
