Tortured by Raiders' Maxx Crosby, Bears make switch at tackle

LAS VEGAS — When Bears coach Ben Johnson named Braxton Jones the starting left tackle after an underwhelming training camp competition, he reserved the right to re-evaluate things during the bye week.

That decision came a week early. In the second quarter of Sunday’s 25-24 win, tired of his defense being tortured by Raiders star Maxx Crosby, Johnson yanked Jones. He gave Ozzy Trapilo, a second-round rookie, his first NFL snaps at right tackle and moved Theo Benedet, the second-year undrafted free agent from Canada, from right tackle to the left side.
