The Chicago Bears have reached an agreement with tight end Dion Sims, formerly of the Miami Dolphins. The 26 year old Sims, was a 4th round pick of the Dolphins in 2013 out of Michigan State. In four years, he has appeared in 56 games, making 22 starts, with 74 receptions, 699 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The 6’4”, 271 pound Sims, is a decent blocker and a decent athlete. He should take on the blocking role in Chicago last manned by Logan Paulsen. That alone makes this one one of my favorite signings of this free agency period.
