The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday offensive tackle Tayo Fabuluje has been suspended four games for a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Peggy Kusinski of NBC Chicago passed along Fabuluje's texted response to the suspension, which read, "Took [an] appetite suppressant back in training camp that ended up failing me on a test. ... Wasn't intentional just [an] unfortunate situation."
Fabuluje was a sixth-round pick out of TCU in 2015's NFL draft and has not appeared in any games as a rookie after an improbable run to the NFL amid numerous off-field obstacles involving his family.
